A MUSEUM OF SELF & SPACE IS OUT NOW OMGGGGGGG

God, what a long weird development this has been. A Museum of Self & Space is out now. Barring any giant issues I don't have plans to update this game any longer. I wanted to take this space to talk a little bit about the finished product and why it's price where it is. The game is less polished then where I'd want it to be. The camera could definitely use some work, the UI can be a bit wonky, and sometimes the cursor pops up when I'd like it to go away. The most important part, my artistic vision, is largely intact and that I'm really happy with. I think I only cut one major thing I wanted to finish.

A Museum of Self & Space will also probably disappear forever in the pile of new games that comes out every week, and that's fine. I know that its out there and no longer hiding in the dark corners of my house. I've decided to charge a minimum of $7 on Itch.io and $10 on Steam. The price discrepancy is based on Steam egregious cut, and I want people to continue to use Itch.io as a place to buy games. I also know that the base price of $10 is...a lot for a game of this size. Which is absolutely ridiculous imo. I decided to price this game based on the fact that it's, for me, an art piece first and a game second. And art is expensive. It's expensive to produce and I want my game to reflect that. I think an hour experience that can be emotionally powerful is worth 7-10 dollars. I will say, if you truly can't afford it please DM me on Twitter or here on Itch and I'll send you a code. I want my labor to valued but I also never want to make my work inaccessible. 

And that's that, A Museum of Self & Space, a game about a nonbinary person realizing their faults in life and how they've affected the people around them is finished. I'm already early in my the development of my next game, and also starting graduate school in the fall so lots of more weird, cool, queer work to come out in the future I'm sure.
